What is the process in case there is a false alarm?
If there is a false alarm, our active monitors will check the scene and triple-check that there is no issue at your building. We will notify your security team of the alarm and will also send an all-clear when it has been confirmed that it was a false alarm. However, we should note that with an Alarm.com alarm system, you will experience up to 80% fewer false alarm calls than with a traditional commercial alarm system. With active monitoring and advanced AI-powered sensors and cameras, false alarms are almost a thing of the past.
Do you provide staff with updates on police arrival times?
Yes, during an active emergency, our monitoring staff will keep your staff updated on the expected arrival time of the police via SMS and push notifications if that information is available. If it is an active shooter situation, our monitors will also follow your set protocols, including informing staff about exits and where to muster.
Can you use existing cameras as part of the new alarm system?
Yes, for the most part, we can incorporate third-party cameras within the new alarm system. However, we do have a number of features that are only available if we are getting the data from a Pro series camera, and those features would not work on a third-party unit. If you are interested in these features, including Business Activity Analytics, we would need to replace your existing cameras and install Pro series cameras in their place.

Do you install physical safety and silent alarm buttons?
