For property managers, they can open doors remotely, monitor building entrances, get time- and date-stamped photos of door release events, and issue virtual keys with time-limited QR codes or PINs, all from the comfort of their workstation or cell phone via the SmartPlus app.

  • Is there a maximum number of terminals for Smart Access control?

    No, there is no limit to the number of Smart Access terminals that can connect to a single managed network. Generally, our clients are looking for 2 to 10 terminals to provide access control services across multiple properties. We can work with you to install and program these terminals and ensure that your property management team's dashboard is set up to maximize efficiency and focus on key properties for alerts and credentials.

  • Do you need to have anyone on the ground to set up credentials?

    No, whether you are using SmartPlus or Smart Access, you can create and edit credentials from a remote location. Whether you are producing and sharing limited-time QR codes or granting mobile credentials through the Smart App, there is no need to be in person to grant access. However, if you are choosing to use RFID cards or fobs, you will need to provide the physical item to set up access.

  • What access methods are supported by Akuvox?

    Akuvox systems support the following access methods: PIN code, Smart App (Works on Apple and Android devices), facial recognition, fingerprint, RFID card, Bluetooth, NFC, Siri, and iWatch.

  • Can you track attendance with an Akuvox access control system?

    Yes, you can track attendance in your building and generate attendance reports all from the Akuvox dashboard. You can track by employee, team or larger groups if you are looking for a snapshot of office usage.
